Lichtenfels was an assistant high school football coach for nine seasons and he also did personnel work and scouting for the now defunct Johnstown Riverhawks Indoor Football team. Lichtenfels has appeared on ESPN's Outside The Lines, NFL Network, Big Ten Network, Comcast and Fox Sports Pittsburgh. He has also been featured in such newspapers as the Washington Post.
