Knox Back In Action
Daniel Knox profile "I practiced yesterday and today," said Knox. "It went good. I had no pain. I feel like I can go full speed. "Monday was a learning day. There was a lot of mental stuff and we had a short scrimmage after that. Today was even better. We got after it and I feel like my knee is only going to get stronger the more I work it." Daniel was frustrated sitting on the sidelines, but he refused to pout and feel sorry for himself. "You don't realize how much you love it until you can't play," said Knox of his time off the field. "I know the last couple of weeks I have worked real hard. I think I have worked harder the past five weeks than I have the rest of my life. "I wanted to come back strong and I feel like I did. I was on the bike and on the elliptical all the time." This past weekend, Knox was able to give the good report to his future coaches at Mississippi State. "The coaches were glad to hear I was going to play this week," said Daniel. "I just love it up there. I just love Starkville. It just feels like it's more exciting now. "I enjoyed hearing those cowbells ring." Knox was more than a casual observer this time around. He was pleased with what he saw during the Bulldogs 49-7 win over Memphis. "They played good," said Daniel. "They are getting after it. They're not standing around. Everybody was flying around. I really think they are going to be good this year. "I really watch the little things now. I watch how the lineman block and how they move when they run a play. I pay a lot more attention to all of that now." Knox will return to Starkville soon to cheer the Bulldogs on, but this week he will be cheering from his living room. "I am not going to be able to get to the game, but I am going to watch it on TV," said Daniel. "I feel like if they can get a win this week, they are really going to get on a roll. "I just love the effort they are all giving. They are giving 100%. Everybody talks about giving effort, but at Mississippi State they are doing it. You could see that the other night."
