From the Road: Sophomores Found

HAMPTON, Ga. - Three sophomores stood out to me Thursday night and I see all three having a good chance to become Division I football prospects in the coming years.

I will have much more on these three and all the other prospects in I see this weekend in a Scouting Report next week, but I wanted to share three names with you today for the class of 2013.

Travis Custis - RB - 5-11/180 - Lovejoy (GA)
Quick Hitter: Strong back with good cut-back ability.

A.J. Jackson - TE - 6-6/210 - Lovejoy (GA)
Quick Hitter: Very fluid and athletic with soft hands.

LaDarrius Mathis - RB - 5-8/167 - North Clayton (GA)
Quick Hitter: Small back with great quickness and balance.

Chad Simmons started out with Scout in 2003 covering top talent in Georgia and other areas in the South. He then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become Southeast Recruiting Manager.
