Bertolet in Chesapeake Bowl

Special teams can be a big part of any game and when you have one of the top kicker/punters in the entire country that’s a big boost for your roster. Taylor Bertolet is one of the best at what he does in the country and will be part of the North roster for the Chesapeake Bowl.

Taylor Bertolet, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound kicker/punter from Exeter Township High School in Exeter, Pa., is already committed to Texas A&M and will be playing in the Chesapeake Bowl this December.

“I’m definitely pumped up and excited about playing in the game and as a kicker and punter a lot of the time you go without notice, so it will be nice to help my team and get noticed at the same time,” Bertolet said. “Once you go out there and hit some 50-yard field goals and 60-yard punts people do start to notice though, so hopefully I’ll be in a position to help the team out.”

The Chesapeake Bowl will be played on December 30th and will put the North against the South. The North team is represented by players picked from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South team is comprised of players from Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia and Virginia. The location of the game has not been decided yet, but should be announced shortly and all participants will go home with their own personalized jersey and a custom bowl ring which can be seen below in a lower resolution. The game will be open to the public.
