Bainton Looking to Bounce Back
Renton (Wash.) Liberty prospect Jake Bainton is a playmaker on both sides of the ball. He is the number one receiving threat for the Patriots in addition to being a first team all-league safety. In Liberty's week one upset of Skyline, Bainton injured his right shoulder. What was originally diagnosed as a separation has been upgraded to shoulder subluxation, or instability of the shoulder. "Yea, I have been working on it in physical therapy," said Bainton. "The doctors want me to get it strong before I come back, otherwise I will just reinjure it when I do. I will be out for at least a couple of weeks." Liberty missed Bainton this past week, losing 27-21 to Issaquah in double overtime. "It was really hard to watch the game, I want to play with my brothers," said Bainton. "It was really hard. I think that we all learned from this game and we just have to keep moving forward." On the recruiting front, Bainton has been hearing from a couple of schools this past week. "I have been talking to Idaho and Montana quite a bit. I'm not sure if those schools are at the top of my list to get visits, but I have liked talking to them." "I do really like the coaching staff at Idaho. I think that they have great energy and I like the way they coach. Idaho is probably up near the top of the list." Jake Worthen is a Northwest Recruiting Analyst for Scout.com.
