Madison Central is looking to make another run at the Class 6A title as they are off to a 4-0 start. Below is an in-depth analysis of a few of their key players and video footage from the first three games of their season against Melrose (TN), Jackson Provine, and Hattiesburg.

Madison Central (MS)
Devon Desper Madison Central HS (MS) / OL
C/O 2012 | Watch Video
[GALLERY:]
Scout's Take: Devon will be one of the premier offensive line prospects in next year's class. He is around 6' 5", 300 which is a little tall for an offensive center (current position he plays) but he has the footwork to play center or even tackle on the next level. Desper has a high motor and is extremely tough and competitive.

Scout's Take: The 4-Star wide receiver has shown that his big-playmaking ability can come from anywhere as he has three special teams touchdowns while the Jags are breaking in a new quarterback. Singleton sometimes looks like he has been shot out of a cannon as he simply blows by the defenders with his speed and quickness. He is what you term a "home-run" hitter.

Scout's Take: The younger brother of Tobias Singleton is the tailback of the future for the Jag's offense. He is built compact at 5' 10", 200 and is a one cut runner that runs downhill. He twisted an ankle against Hattiesburg and has not returned to the field.

Tiyuan Mack Madison Central HS (MS) / DT

Scout's Take: The 6' 0", 308-pound defensive tackle is a true run stopper and shows good leverage and quickness off of the ball. He will need to continue to work on his conditioning but he has the strength and skills to become a D1 player.

DeHendrick Thompson Madison Central HS (MS)/ S
C/O 2011| Watch Video
[GALLERY:]
Scout's Take: DeHendrick's name has not been passed around in the recruiting circles but the 6' 1", 180-pound safety is a consistent playmaker for the Jaguar's defense. He shows the ability to cover and support the run. Keep your ears open for Thompson's name as he could be a late bloomer.

Maurice Bennett Madison Central HS (MS) / DT

Scout's Take: The 6' 3", 280-pound defensive lineman out of Madison Central is one of the better looking defensive tackle prospects in a deep and talented pool of junior defensive linemen in next year's class. He uses his leverage and strength to bull rush and has good pass rushing techniques to swim by the offensive tackles. Currently plays end but projects at tackle on the next level.

Joe Price Madison Central HS (MS) / CB/RB
C/O 2011 | Watch Video
[GALLERY:]
Scout's Take: The slot back has recently been going both ways as he is trying to get some looks at cornerback on the next level. Joe has always had the straight ahead speed to play on the next level, but now he is working on his quickness. Price still looks more natural at tailback but you can see he is becoming more and more comfortable at corner.

Richard Lankston Madison Central (MS) / RB
C/O 2011 |Watch Video
[GALLERY:]
Scout's Take: What Richard lacks in size (5' 5", 165) he makes up for in speed and quickness. Lankston has been a consistent playmaker in the Jaguar's offense this season, and shows the mental and physical toughness to hang with the "big" boys, but recently transferred to Canton Aca this week.

Logan Ellzey Madison Central HS (MS) / OL
C/O 2011 | Watch Video
[GALLERY:]
Scout's Take: The 6' 5", 285-pound offensive tackle is one of the mainstays for the Jaguar's offensive line. Madison Central likes to run the ball a lot on his side of the field, and he looks to be an emotional leader for their team. Ellzey obviously has the frame you are looking for on the next level.

Sam Cox Madison Central HS (MS) / TE
C/O 2011 | Watch Video

Scout's Take: The 6' 1", 220-pound Jackson Prep transfer is playing a new position at Madison Central this season as he switched from defensive end to tight end. Sam is a sound blocker and has good hands. Size might be an issue for the next level at tight end, but he has natural football instincts which should land him somewhere on the collegiate level..
