Kion Williams is a standout running back prospect from Interlachen High and Scout caught up with him…
Others recruiting UCF commit
Kion Williams talked about his senior season going into Friday's action. "Oh it's going good. We played PK Yonge out of Gainesville. They called back three of my touchdowns back, but I had 14 carries and 198 yards. We had a game the following week against Orlando Christian, we beat them 70-0. I only played the first half of that game, but I still had 7 carries 128 yards. This week we had an off week." Williams, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, committed to UCF over the summer and he talked about that. "I committed to Central Florida because I was talking to Coach O'Leary and Coach Beckman, actually I was in O'Leary's office and he told me that I would be a big help to their team. I went to the spring game and seen they need help. I like the school, I like the atmosphere. I was getting other interest like South Florida and Arkansas; they are on me real hard too." Williams likes the direction of UCF's program. "Central Florida is coming up. I think they could have won the NC State game. I was there and it was loud. It was crazy, the stadium was shaking, and the fans were crazy. I been to Florida games and I think Central Florida's atmosphere is better." Williams hasn't scheduled any official visits but plans on taking three of them. "I haven't set any up yet. I am taking a visit to Florida, South Florida and Central Florida." The standout running back, who claims a 3.2 GPA and a 17 ACT score, talked about a few schools still on his list. "I am considering Arkansas and South Florida. I have been talking to the Arkansas coach a lot, he tells me to keep working hard and he is trying to get me a visit up there. If I can get everything arranged I will take a visit up there. I went to USF's scrimmage game. It is another school that needs help in the running back position. They've been calling me, too."
