Cooper Adding Suitors

Demonte Cooper like a lot prospects has to play out of position in high school in an effort to help their team win. Demonte is best suited for a spot in the defensive backfield, but due to his football I.Q. and a team need he lines up in the box. Cooper reports that he would answer the call to play any position to help his team win.

"I play middle linebacker here, but I think I am going to play free safety or corner in college because of my speed," explained Demonte. "It doesn't really matter to me. I will play wherever they put me."

Cooper's can do team first attitude is a great attribute. A trio of schools have begun to gather info on the talented senior.

"The University of Kentucky, Southern Miss and Mississippi State are showing me interest," said Cooper. "I don't have any offers yet.

"I have been to games at Alcorn, Jackson State and Mississippi State. I have free tickets to Alcorn this weekend, so I am probably going to there this weekend.

When decision time comes, Cooper wants to feel part of something special and have the chance to contribute.

"I am looking for a family and a chance to play," said Demonte. "That's pretty much what I want."
