Devon Howard is a standout cornerback prospect from Robert E. Lee High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Devon Howard is trying to get back on the field for his team right now.

"It's been alright, nothing to major. I have been out; they said my four years of eligibility is up. I am doing an appeal to see if I can play my last five games. I have a case for it. The team has been doing alright. I play safety and corner."

Howard, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, talked about the recruiting process.

"Marshall, South Alabama, Alabama State and Michigan State talk to my coaches about me," he said. "My top college choice is Marshall because that is where I might be heading to. I want to go to a school where I have a chance to play."

Howard, who claims offers from South Alabama, Charleston Southern, and Alabama State, just wants a chance.

"I'll go anywhere, just want a chance," he said. "Just give me a chance."

Inside the classroom, Howard claims a 2.6 GPA and hasn't taken the test yet.
