D.J. Thompson - (2012) Thompson has a lot of upside. He has a great frame and lacks the stiffness a lot of young players his size possess. Some time in the weight room has helped him grow into his frame and develop some good dexterity.
He has good speed and is learning to be a good route runner. He wants the ball, but is a team first guy. He will get out on the edge and block hoping to spring a running back for a big gain if that is what is needed.
One of the things I like most about D.J. is that he is a finisher. After watching him on tape and in person, it is clear he is a winner who will do all he can to move the team ahead.
Kirby Wixson - (2012) Wixson plays center for the Pirates, but could play either of the guard positions on the college level.
Kirby has a gritty, blue collar appeal. He enjoys getting his guy on the ground and out of the play. He plays with a toughness that you expect to see from college prospects.
Wixson carries his weight well and with some time in a college weight room he should be one of the stronger prospects on the field.
Ronald Perry - (2011) Perry has transformed himself into a nice looking prospect. Two seasons ago he broke out on the high school as an offensive guard with a little baby fat. Ronald's a trim, athletic offensive tackle now.
Ronald needs to develop more of a mean streak, but he has a nice base to work with. He keeps his man in front of him and maintains control of him more times than not.
Shaquille Smith - (2011) Unfortunately, Smith was injured and missed the game. He has put on a few pounds of good weight and appears to be in great shape.
He plays linebacker on the high school level and could play a weakside spot as a linebacker. He has the speed to play strong safety if called upon.
