The "University of South Panola" could have its strongest team ever this season, and that is saying a mouthful, considering the squads they have produced in the last 20 years. Below is an analysis of their top players. Road Report
South Panola (MS)
Nick Johnson South Panola HS (MS) / DE
C/O 2012 | Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 6' 1", 230 pound junior defensive end was the most active defensive lineman we saw at the MUS/S.P. game. He is a sideline to sideline player and gets off of his blocks well. His future may end up at defensive tackle depending on how big he gets in the next few years.

Scout's Take: The 4-Star wide receiver continues to show that he is as quick as he is fast. Brassell can cut on a dime and has that "home run" bullet in his arsenal. On the defensive side of the ball he has always had the cover skills but he is much more physical this season than he was last.

Tony Conner South PanolaHS (MS) / S
C/O 2013 |Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 6' 2", 195-pound sophomore is already being talked about as maybe the best prospect to come out of South Panola. Those are some mighty big words considering the number of NFL players the program has produced. He is the last leg of the Tiger's relay team for a reason. The kid can fly and is in a bad mood when he arrives.

Qyen Griffin South Panola HS (MS) / RB
C/O 2011|Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 5' 9", 230-pounder has taken Mississippi by storm since being moved over from linebacker to tailback this season. He has rushed for over 1, 100 yards and 15 TD's through five games of action. He is a north/south runner that has good vision and power but needs to improve his top end speed for the next level although he did take one 97 yards against MUS while we scouted him.

Issac Gross South Panola HS (MS)/ DT
C/O 2011| Watch Video
Scout's Take: Gross made a living against MUS in last year's contest as he racked up 4 sacks, but MUS put Ben Still up against him this fall which limited his production although he still collected a 1 1/2 sacks and three tackles from behind the line of scrimmage. The 6' 3", 250-pound junior is cat quick off of the ball and remind some of former Tiger Peria Jerry.

Marcus Henry South Panola HS (MS) / WR
C/O 2011 |Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 6' 2", 185-pound senior receiver made several big plays in the Tiger's win over MUS this season. He has been bothered by a hamstring injury, but he seems to be getting healthier as his production continues to rise. Henry needs to work on his quickness but has nice hands and top-end speed.

Al Hentz South Panola HS (MS) / CB
C/O 2011 | Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 5' 9", 170-pound senior cornerback has always had the speed but simply needed to get bigger and become more physical. He looked more physical against MUS than he did last season and continues to show good ball-skills.
Stock Report: Even Al Hentz Profile
Kendrick Markett South Panola (MS) / S
C/O 2011 Watch Video
Scout's Take: What Kendrick lacks in size (5' 9", 175) he makes up for in his natural football skills. Market is the glue for the Tiger's team as he does so many things well for both their offense and defense. He is projected for the safety position on the colligiate level and continues to make huge plays game and game in the defensive backfield. He is very physical and has great ball skills.

Taylor Rotenberry South Panola HS (MS) / TE
C/O 2011 | Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 6' 2", 250-pound senior is also a two-way starter for the Tiger's squad. He made a lot of big plays against MUS at end which included two sacks and an interception that put the game away early in the second quarter. Most project him to be a H-Back/tight end prospect on the next level. Taylor is an all-around solid player and is a hard worker.
Stock Report: Even Taylor Rotenberry Profile
Temario Strong South Panola HS (MS) / DE
C/O 2012 | Watch Video
Scout's Take: The 6' 2", 210-pound junior defensive end made several impact plays for the Tigers against MUS. His motor is running at a higher level than his sophomore season and he is making more plays as a result. Strong has a great first step but needs to continue to work on getting stronger and bigger to get off of his blocks faster.
