Shaquille Thompson (6'1/180) of Grant High School is a member of the Scout Top 100 for the Class of 2012 and one of Scout's first 5-Star prospects for that class. Watching Grant play, it doesn't take long to see why Thompson is so highly regarded.
Thompson makes an impact at running back, wide receiver, and corner for Grant.
Like most elite athletes, Thompson is blessed with superior balance. He has
long, smooth strides and is nearly impossible to knock off of his feet with the
ball in his hands. On defense, his size may relegate him to safety on the next

college level, running back, receiver, safety, or corner. I think of him as a

Georgia before starring at receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though, I think
Thompson sticks to defense on the next level.
Regardless of where he ends up in two years, he's a pleasure to watch play the
game now. As I popped in the first of two games of his from this season, I
quickly said to myself, "That's what 5-Stars are supposed to look
See him in action against Lincoln and Edison from earlier this month.
