Chesapeake Selects Rossi

Three-star linebacker Nick Rossi did a ton of work over the offseason to make himself a better prospect and wowed people at camps around the country this spring and summer. That hard work opened the eyes of the Chesapeake Bowl and he is now a member of the North roster.

Nick Rossi, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker from Riverside High School in Taylor, Pa., has already committed to Akron and will now join a very talented group of linebackers in the Chesapeake Bowl.

“I feel really great about being selected and it’s an honor as only the best get selected,” Rossi said. “I feel like my hard work is paying off now and hopefully I go down and put out a good showing. I’ve seen a few of the names on the roster and we have a few studs at linebacker and a ton of great athletes, so it’s going to be a great game.”

The Chesapeake Bowl will be played on December 30th and will put the North against the South. The North team is represented by players picked from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South team is comprised of players from Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia and Virginia. The location of the game has not been decided yet, but should be announced shortly and all participants will go home with their own personalized jersey and a custom bowl ring which can be seen below in a lower resolution. The game will be open to the public.
