Long Has Big Night

Junior Dylan Long hit the Hammond High defense early and often. Long bounced a counter outside for the game's first score, but he did most of his damage between the tackles. Before Long's four score night was over, the outcome has long been decided. Scout.com was on hand to see Dylan in action and we were able to get a few comments from him after the 42-13 district win.

Dylan and his teammates apparently saw something on film that led them to believe they could have some success against the Hammond interior defensive front.

The Wolves were able to grind out some big yards in the middle.

"We always strive to know as much about our opponents as possible," said Long. "Our offensive line did a tremendous job tonight. They did well and my fellow running backs."

The talented junior enjoys running the ball, but he brands himself as an all around football player. Dylan hopes to take his game to the next level. He is already receiving correspondence from college recruiters.

"I am getting some interest letters right now," said Long. "No offers yet, but I am hoping to get some offers soon. I am getting some letters from Kansas State and Nebraska right now.

"I am looking mainly looking for a great atmosphere and a good relationship with the coaches."
