Scout.com was able to confirm via text that Na'Alii Robins, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end from the Saint Louis School in Honolulu, verbally committed to the Oregon State Beavers Sunday night after his official visit to Corvallis this past weekend.
"Yes I did," Robins said when asked if he had made a commitment. A little later on Monday, we were able to catch up with Robins for more on his decision. He had to think long and hard about not making his commitment right there and then while on the OSU campus.
"Yeah, I did think about it," he said. "But I wanted to make sure I talked to my family about it. We talked about where I would feel comfortable. It was a family-like environment there, and I could see myself going there for the next four or five year."
"Alii did verbally commit yesterday when we got home after discussing with our family," Robins' father Jason also said, via text. "He's excited, so are we. He really enjoyed the coaches and the people that surround that program."
"He loved it," Alii said of his father's thoughts. Jason accompanied his son to Corvallis. "He wanted me to go to Oregon State. He liked the school, the coaches...he liked a lot of things."
Robins said the highlight of his visit was "chillin'" with the coaches, especially OSU Head Coach Mike Riley. "I bonded with most of them," he said of the coaches. "(Riley) talked to me about how good the school is and how badly they wanted me."

31-28. He said he envisioned himself playing defensive end for them as the Beavers took care of business. "It was awesome," he said of the game. "It was a great experience."
With his verbal commitment taken care of, will Robins take any more official visits? "No," he said. "Not at all."
Now Robins and his Crusader teammates will focus on getting through their ILH season undefeated. They are currently 4-0 and will be playing Iolani at Aloha Stadium this weekend.
