Chesapeake Bowl Selection: Keron Costen
Maryland DB Keron Costen (5-9/180, Fort Meade, MD, Meade) is a physical player that will play defensive back for the South Team in the inaugural Chesapeake Bowl All-Star Game to be played on December 30th. Costen was at the Chesapeake Bowl Evaluation and Training Camp and his performance earned him a spot in the game. "It feels real good," said Costen. "To be recognized as one of the very best players means a lot to me. I just tried my best at the camp and I am glad they thought I did well." Costen is an aggressive defensive back that can shut down the best receiver on offense as well as come up and provide great run support. Costen has been hearing from several schools including Rutgers, West Virginia, Temple and Syracuse. The Chesapeake Bowl will pit the North Team vs. the South Team. The North Team is represented by players selected from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South Team is comprised of players from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. The site of the game will be announced shortly. Each player will receive their own personalized game jersey and a custom bowl ring. The game will be open to the public.
