Separated only by a few football fields Westlake and Oaks Christian finally
played after being in separate leagues for years. Westlake came out on top of
the matchup, but from an individual standpoint, Oaks Christian had several
standouts including Duke Commitment Blair Holliday (6-3/185).
Holliday has starred for Oaks Christian this year, stepping up to be the No. 1
receiver with the absence of '12 Top 100 teammate Jordan Payton. Payton was back
in the lineup on Friday, but that didn't take away from a huge night for
Holliday.
Holliday has outstanding size and body control. He is able to go up and make the
acrobatic catch and adjust his body while in the air. He's a good route runner
and comes off the line well. He has sticky hands and knows how to use his body
to shield a smaller defensive back. He is not afraid to go over the middle and
take a hit, or deliver one should the opportunity present itself.
Currently listed as a ranked 2-Star on Scout, he will see a significant rise in
the rankings relative to his current spot.
See him in action in this presentation by ScoutTV and FSN.
