Evans Named to O-D All-American Bowl

Sugar Land (Texas) Dulles safety Sheroid Evans, one of the premier defensive backs in the country, has been selected to play in the 2011 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.

"Mack Brown and his defensive staff undoubtedly can not wait to get Sheriod in a Longhorn uniform," said O-D's Artie Gigantino. "This speedster can play either corner or safety at Texas."

Because of Evans' versatility, it's uncertain where he'll play in the game.

"We have not decided yet for our game what position he will play, but I know this, we at the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl, are jacked up to have Sheroid playing in our game.He is an outstanding prospect."

Evans is the #2-ranked safety nationally by Scout.com and the top ranked safety in the Midlands.

The O-D Bowl will take place on Friday December 31 at 4:00 pm EST, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and will be nationally televised on VERSUS.

Brandon is in his sixth year with Scout.com, currently as the West Regional Manager. Prior to joining Scout, he spent three years as an o-line and tight ends coach in the high school ranks.
