Shon Carson pledged to South Carolina over the weekend and the Gamecocks got themselves a good one. Get a good look at the future Gamecock here in this Photo Gallery.

Shon Carson chose South Carolina over Clemson and North Carolina State among others. The 5-foot-9, 195 pound running back already has rushed for over 1,200 yards in 2010 and he plans to make plays on the ground in Columbia in the coming years.

Chad Simmons started out with Scout in 2003 covering top talent in Georgia and other areas in the South. He then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become Southeast Recruiting Manager.
