Scout TV: Drayton Shanks

Drayton Shanks has an offer from Syracuse and is hearing mainly from Arkansas and Virginia Tech outside of that so far. The senior receiver from Culpeper, Va., just got his highlights in to Scout.com from his junior season for our readers to see.

Drayton Shanks, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Eastern View High School is a natural basketball player, so weight lifting hasn’t been his thing over the years. As you can see in his junior film, his team uses a lot of bubble screens and short passes and relies on him to pick up yards after the catch, but he’s going to have to hit the weight room and get stronger in his lower body to increase his speed and explosion at the next level. He has an offer from Syracuse and is hearing from Arkansas and Virginia Tech right now.

As a junior, Shanks caught 35 passes for 626 yards and six touchdowns. He had three interceptions from his cornerback position, although he did play a bit of free safety.
