The 6' 3", 215-pound linebacker out of Pensacola Catholic (FL) has been hearing mostly from three schools. To find out who they are and how his senior season is going, click below.
"I have mostly been talking with Ole Miss and Kentucky lately," added
Demarius Rancifer
. "But I have been talking to West Virginia a little bit too."
Which school have firm offers on the table for Scout.com's #76 rated OLB?
"Of course those three school do and a few more colleges like South Florida, Central Florida, Louisville, and some schools like that."
Ole Miss has been making a strong push as of late.
"I have been talking to coach (Derrick) Nix a lot lately. He scouted me and he told me that they are losing some senior linebackers that they need to replace with some newcomers. I am going to go up there to see them play when they play Auburn. I have a coach here that has really been talking them up lately. He thinks I would be a really good fit for their defense because they play a really aggressive defense. I just want to see what all of the talk is about and see if I can see myself playing there for the next three to four years."
Kentucky is also losing some personnel at linebacker.
"They are also telling me they have a lot of senior linebackers who are leaving and they need some new guys to fill their shoes. I have never visited Kentucky before, but I like the way they play. I watched them last week on TV against Auburn and they never give up. They played hard the whole game."
West Virginia was his first offer.
"They have been recruiting me a long time. They want to get me up there for a game, but with me playing on Fridays and having to fly out really early on Saturday to make it over there in time, it has just been real difficult getting up there to see their campus. I will probably have to wait until I take my official visit before I get up there."
Rancifer has been having a nice senior season.
"We are 6-0 so we have been doing pretty good. We are pretty good. We are ranked like #2 (2B) ibehind Bolles. I have been using a lot of the techniques my coach taught me this summer to help me out. I had like 51 tackles through 4 games. Those are the latest stats I know. I have gotten a little faster and my knowledge of the game is just much better now. That has helped me out a lot."
