"I feel like I am having a magnificent year so far," said Briggs. "I have seven touchdowns and 310 yards.
"As the go to guy I have to have a good year and I am steady progressing as the weeks go on. I am having a lot less drops this year."
With five straight blow out wins where FHS scored 55 points or better each week, some are ready to put them in the Superdome as a state title game participant.
While fans and media are welcome to project, Chris is not one to get ahead of himself.
"As of right now we are not focusing on taking it all the way," said Briggs. "We are taking it game by game.
"It's only week seven, so our next big game is the next game on our schedule."
Chris is a long, tall receiver with some good ball skills. A handful of schools have shown interest and a few of them have offered scholarships.
"I am just going out and trying to progress each week.
When decision time comes, Chris has a good idea about what he wants in a college home.
"I just want to go somewhere I can contribute," said Briggs. "I would really like to go play in the SEC, but the main thing is to find a team where I can contribute."
