At 5'9, 170-lbs, Horactio Banks may not be the biggest guy, but the Chicago Simeon back makes up for it with his quickness and 4.35 speed.
So far this season, he has made life miserable for opposing defense, including Lane Tech's, who he gashed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on just three carries.
"We didn't envision this," he said of his team's blowout victories, "but we envisioned winning ball games though."
When asked about recruiting, Banks simply said: "I'm really focused on my season right now," but did say he had three offers: Memphis, Ball State and North Dakota.
Of the three, he has only been to one for a visit.
'I visited Ball State. It's a nice place. It's pretty cool up there. I like the offense. They run a lot of spread and they put a lot of running backs on the field. I think I'd fit into that."
Banks hopes to keep up his and his team's fine season and he knows to give thanks to a Simeon line which averages over 300-lbs and opens up huge holes for him.
"I can't say enough about them. They make it real easy for us."
