Scout went to watch Deland High OL Trey Pettis, an FSU commitment, over the weekend and you can…
Trey Pettis and his Deland team lost for the first time this past weekend and he talked about the season so far. "The season is going good. I am doing everything I can do to help my team win, just sometimes things don't go your way. I try to be a leader out here and help my team. Tonight just wasn't our night though. We don't really keep o-line stats, but I grade out the highest when we grade out our o-line." Pettis, 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, is one of the state's premier offensive line prospects. He committed to Florida State early on and remains solid with that decision. "It's solid," he said. "I want to be part of this uprising, this Seminole uprising. I wasn't there for the Miami game, but I watched it on TV and I loved every minute of it. They played with swag, they got after it, that's what I love." Pettis, who claims a 3.1 GPA and a 960 SAT score, has just one official visit on his mind. "I am taking an official to FSU, I don't know when yet. I am not taking any other ones."
