6-1, 227-pounds
Redshirt Freshman
Arizona, Marshall, East Carolina, Ole Miss evaluation: Clayton spent his true freshman season redshirting at Ole Miss before transferring to MS Gulf Coast CC in the spring of 2010. He left Ole Miss at 205 pounds and has since gained seventeen pounds and is now at 222.

The extra weight and muscle has increased his arm strength and his footwork has improved. He got a chance to mature physically and get some experience after sitting out a season.

He leads his team well and does what he is asked to do and moves the chains. He has good vision and learned how to study film and put his head in the playbook and learned how to keep his eyes down the field in the pocket no matter if it breaks down or not. He is just an overall better QB than when he entered the Ole Miss program. Simply put, he just matured.

Clayton has led MS Gulf Coast to a 6-1 start and are nationally ranked in the Top 10 in the country. For the season he has passed for 1, 214 yards with 15 TD's and 2 Int's. He is 79-128 for a 61.79% completion ratio.
