Since early July, Kyle Harris has been committed to Georgia Tech, but he has thought things over and decided to open his recruitment back up.

Kyle Harris took a recent trip to South Carolina and after thinking things over, he decided to open back up.

"He has opened things back up," Pepperell Head Coach Jeff Shiflett told Scout on Tuesday.

Harris backed that up.

"I just did not feel Georgia Tech was the right place for me. They had great coaches and they were cool, but I just don't feel Georgia Tech was right for me."

Could South Carolina be the one?

"I am just going to take it day to day and see what happens. Ole Miss and Tennessee still send me a lot of mail. I had a very good visit to South Carolina a couple of weeks ago, so they are definitely on my list. After them, I am not sure."

"I want to see who wants me now that I am open again, so I am going to take my time. I feel I rushed into my decision before, so I will not do that again."

Chad Simmons started out with Scout in 2003 covering top talent in Georgia and other areas in the South. He then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become Southeast Recruiting Manager.
