Chesapeake Bowl Selection: Tim Scott
Three-star DB Tim Scott (6-0/180, Stafford, VA, Colonial Forge) will bring his athletic skills to the defense of the South Team for the inaugural Chesapeake Bowl All-Star Game to be played on December 30th. Scott has versatility and will help solidify an already impressive secondary. The North Carolina verbal commit talks about what the selection means to him. "I am honored to be selected," said Scott. "Everyone in the game is a special player so it is nice to be recognized that way. It will be good to go against the best of the North Team. I know they are a strong area for football but I think we are good too. It will be exciting to see what they got. It will be a good challenge to go against all the receiver talent they have. Even our team in practice will be great to go up against. It will be a preview for college." Scott chose UNC over Tennessee and West Virginia back in July. He also had offers from East Carolina, Maryland, Miami (OH) and Virginia. The two-way standout has helped lead his team to an 8-0 record this season. The Chesapeake Bowl will pit the North Team vs. the South Team. The North Team is represented by players selected from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South Team is comprised of players from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. The site of the game will be announced shortly. Each player will receive their own personalized game jersey and a custom bowl ring. The game will be open to the public.
