Intro: Luke Lawrence

Luke Lawrence, of Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa is a big reason the Patriots have clinched Region 5 in Alabama's 6A classification. Under first year head coach Adam Winegarden, Lawrence moved across the line from right tackle to left tackle for his junior season. He's helped his team to an 8-1 record and is garnering a lot of recruiting attention from schools across the Southeast.

"I think my game has improved a lot this year," Luke Lawrence said. "I've gotten faster, stronger, my speed has improved. We run the ball probably 70-percent of the time in the triple option, and I think I do my best work as a run blocker getting out in space."
