Class: 2011
Recruitment: Five Finalist are Oklahoma, Alabama, MSU,
Ole Miss, and Georgia
Scout.com Ranking: 4-Star/#17 National Rated WR
Scout.com live evaluation: Tobias Singleton came into the
fall rated as one of the top playmakers in the country and he has not disappointed
as he has already accumlated over 1, 500 all-purpose yards and 11 TD's for the
9-0 Jaguars.
Tobias made his impact felt immediately at Grenada when he caught two passes
for 54 yards and a TD in the second drive of the game. Singleton played the
Wildcat the opening two possessions of the second half and chewed up the Grenada
defense while they had Joe Price in motion on each snap. Tobias looks smooth
running the WildCat and has a nice arm as he completed a couple completions
to Madison Central's quarterback.
Singleton reminds me of a Mike Wallace that
played is now the leading per-catch-average-receiver in the NFL. He has nice
size, strength, and can beat you off of the jam if you press or come back hard
for the ball and go get it if you play off of him. He has what you term as "home
run" speed.
Scout.com was in attendance for Singleton's game against Grenada where he recorded
2 catches for 54 yards and 1 TD, 6 rushes for 79 yards and 1 TD, and two completions
for 18 yards.
