3 still recruiting UF commit
Clay Burton talked about his senior season. "We are doing well, we are 6 and 3 right now. My stats are not as good as last year but I think my leadership has gotten a lot better. I think teams are playing around me and my teammates are stepping up, I don't care as long as we are winning." Burton, 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, recently switched his commitment from Notre Dame to Florida. "I had taken one official to Notre Dame, I was committed to Notre Dame first then the Florida offer came and I couldn't pass up the chance to play with my brother." So why the Gators? "Everything about the Florida Gators, it is the total package. The game day atmosphere is great and I trust the coaching staff. They are a winning program." Burton isn't concerned about Florida's recent struggles. "They will pick it up and their offense will get it going, I am not worried about the season." The Gators aren't the only one still recruiting Burton. "Notre Dame, Clemson and Georgia Tech are all still recruiting me. I have no interest in them, I am committed to Florida." The standout defensive end prospect, who claims a 3.8 GPA and a 970 SAT score, has plans of enrolling early. "I am graduating early; I will be there I think January 4th."
