Profile: Nick Marshall
Location: Rochelle, Ga.
High School: Wilcox County
Class: 2011
Position: Athlete
Number: 14
Size: 6-2/191
Recruiting: A number of schools offered Marshall, but he decided he wanted to stay home and play for the University of Georgia.
Scouting Report: Marshall is the top quarterback in the state of Georgia and one of the best signal callers in the country, but he is also one of the top overall athletes in the country. He is looking to play both football and basketball in Athens, so he would prefer to play another position besides quarterback at UGA. Right not, it looks like he will start out as a cornerback, but safety, wide receiver, and even quarterback are possibilities as well. As a QB, he has a very strong arm, he can hurt defenses with his legs, and he is capable of making a big play at anytime from anywhere on the field. As a defensive back, he has very good ball skills and instincts in the secondary. He needs to really work on his footwork and the understanding of the position, but he has a lot of potential there.
