Top Punter to be a Trojan
Posted Nov 5, 2010

Big time kickers and punters are hard to find and it appears that Coach Ed Orgeron's Louisiana roots have paid off for the USC Trojans as one of the nation's top punters elected to commit to SC today. An important phone call came from Los Angeles just before 2 PM central time.

"I got a call about 30 minutes ago from Coach Baxter from USC," said Albardo. "They have been reviewing film and they just got my test scores and transcripts.

"He told me they decided to pull the trigger on an offer. He said he liked what I was doing with the football. He said I have the chance to be a great college punter."

Kris wasted no time accepting the Trojans' offer.

"It didn't take me long to commit," said Albarado. "I have already done my research and Coach Baxter is the top special teams coach is in the nation.

"Everyone knows how special it is to be a part of the USC family and I am proud that I am going to be joining the family."

Albarado committed to USC over an offer from Northwestern and serious interest from several other schools.
