Kyle Harris talks decision
"I committed last night after the game," said Kyle Harris. "I was in the locker room. I told coach Elliott and then coach Mangus. They were excited to hear about the news. It feels really good to be committed. "I had been up there before, but last night was my first time attending a game. It was crazy up there. The whole stadium was filled. It was just an amazing experience. Harris knows the opportunity is still available for the Gamecocks to reach the SEC Championship. "South Carolina is a real good team," he said. "They just had a bad game last night. Every team has a bad game every now and then. They should bounce back and beat Florida. They will then make it to the SEC Championship. Harris talked more about the choice to play college ball at the out-of-state program. "It's great to be committed to them," he explained. "The main thing to me was early playing time. They told me I would have a real good chance to play next year if I come in and work hard. I can also see myself playing there." Harris (6-foot-4, 285) was recruited to play guard or center for the Gamecocks. He plans to take his official visit in January and will not visit any other schools. Pepperell (6-3) has a tough task this Friday entering the first round of the playoffs at No. 1 Carver in Columbus.
