ASU Commit Sets Official Date

Glendale (Az.) Ironwood WR Gary Chambers sets date for official visit to ASU

Wide receiver Gary Chambers has been committed to Arizona State since August and has never swayed from his decision. The Glendale Ironwood product has recently set up a visit to ASU.

He tells Scout.com, "I am taking official visit (to ASU) this week."

When he committed to the Sun Devils this summer, the offer was as a gray shirt and to enroll in January of 2012. When asked if this was still the plan, he responded, "Yes, as of now."

The 6-4 200 pounder's 2010 season is done and despite his team struggling to a 3-7 record, Chambers had a solid year. He caught 35 passes for 584 yards and 7 TDs. On defense he made 29 tackles and 4 PBUs.
