Florida OL explains commitment
Darrell Williams talked about his senior season. "As a team we didn't too well, we finished 1 and 8, but individually I had a good season. My coach didn't really record stats for the o-line so I don't know how many pancakes I had, but I didn't up a sack this year." Williams, 6-5 and 260, committed to USF a few days ago. " I committed to South Florida. Well, South Florida was at the top of my list for a long time. I was going to commit a long time ago in the summer and my coaches told me to take some visits first. Then the coach called me and told me they only have one spot left and they want it to be me. They told me that for two months, so I wanted to commit before someone else did." Williams also took a visit to NC State. "I took one visit to North Carolina State in October. It was good, they treated me nice. The coaches were nice. They lost to Virginia Tech. The players were cool to hang with and the atmosphere is nice." The standout lineman, who claims a 930 SAT score, plans to visit USF after the season. "I am going to the end of the year banquet in January for my official. I am a solid commit; I am not taking any other visits." Williams talked more about USF. "I know I'm smaller than the typical lineman, so I am just gonna go there, work hard in the weight room and eat right. I am gonna do what they tell me to do. I will probably get redshirted, so I will learn the plays and get a high GPA. Then I will go from there." Williams talked about the season the Bulls are having. "I think they are 6 and 3. I watched a couple games on TV. I watched their first game against Florida. From what I have seen they are a good team, they have a good quarterback and I like how they block on the o-line."
