Kent (Wash.) Kentridge running back Cameron McKernan just received some good news from one of his favorite programs.
“Idaho offered me this week.”
McKernan already held offers from Air Force, Eastern Washington, Portland State, Wyoming and New Mexico State. Even with the late offer, Idaho is a team that McKernan is very familiar with.
“They have been recruiting me for a while,” said McKernan. “I took an unofficial visit there in the spring.”
McKernan is very high on the Vandals and acknowledged that he considered committing. As of now, he plans on taking his visits and making a decision once he has seen all of the schools.
“I will be taking an unofficial visit to Idaho next weekend,” said McKernan. “I am really excited about it; I like the coaching staff a lot.”
Mckernan could see himself making a decision this coming weekend, but expects to go through the entire process before he announces his choice.
“I really like Idaho, they are probably the favorite,” said McKernan. “I might commit if it feels right, but I would like to still see some of the other schools on visits, specifically Air Force.”
McKernan has expressed his willingness to play anywhere on the field, but it doesn’t hurt Idaho’s chances that they want him to come in and play his favorite position.
“They want me to come in and play running back.”
