Jefferson Talks Iowa Visit
Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills defensive end Quinton Jefferson has taken official visits to Iowa and Cincinnati over the past two weekends. Iowa was the second school to host Jefferson. "I went to Iowa and Carl Davis was my host," Jefferson said. "They showed us all around and then we went out with the players and had a good time. I got to go to their football banquet. "I had the chance to speak with Kirk Ferentz and he is very down to earth," Jefferson continued. "Sometimes you forget that you are even talking to the head coach. Coach (Ken) O'Keefe is my recruiting coach and we have a real good relationship. He has been to my house a few times and to the school several times." Jefferson did tell us that distance will not be a factor for him. "Distance really won't be a factor in my decision," he said. "Whatever school is the best choice for me is where I'll go." Jefferson has also taken an official visit to Cincinnati. He will visit Maryland this weekend and may try and squeeze a trip to West Virginia in. Regardless, where Jefferson ends up he made noticeable strides in his game this year tallying more than 80 tackles and 15 sacks. "I did a lot of learning as a junior," stated Jefferson. "This year, I knew what was going on and I could just make plays."
