Ohio's Tom Crabtree is considered one of the biggest sleeper prospects in the Buckeye State. That title won't stick very long. This prospect has loads of talent.

A prospect that could make some serious noise in 2003 is 6-foot-5, 215-pound, Tom Crabtree from Bloom Carroll High School in Carroll, Ohio. interviewed Crabtree in early March and he had yet to receive a scholarship offer. After viewing his game film, its only a matter of time before that happens.

Crabtree has legit size and speed and catches everything thrown his way. He made several one handed grabs and never missed a stride after making the catch.

Crabtree has a frame that could easily add 20-30 more pounds and I loved his athleticism. He gets in a very good stance and is quick off the ball.

It was easy to see that Tom Crabtree was a big part of Bloom Carroll’s game plan. They found a way to get this young man the ball on just about every other play.

Crabtree has the size and speed to create mismatches against linebackers yet he’s strong enough to support the run game. That is why he’ll receive a D-1 scholarship.

Could Tom Crabtree play a different position? Probably, defensive end is the position he plays on the defensive side of the ball and he looked like a natural at that position.

However, I see a young man born to be a tight end. Defensive backs are no match for Crabtree’s athleticism and leaping ability.
