William Moore, a 6-foot-2, 197-pound, wide receiver from Hayti, Missouri has already given his verbal commitment to the University of Missouri.
Prospects that commit early usually get lost in the "Recruiting Shuffle" but we won't let that happen with William Moore. This young man deserves accolades and respect.
"I've had William on the varsity for three years," said Hayti head coach Shawn Jackson.
"He's (Moore) is just sick. I've never coached a football player like William Moore. He played most of last year hurt and still had 700 yards receiving and averaged 11 yards per carry.
"William is the best stalk blocker I've ever seen. He has knocked opponents out with his blocks. Its just amazing to watch him play football.
"William committed to Missouri early. The coaching staff did a great job recruiting him and I feel that his commitment is solid.
"There are still a lot of schools that are still recruiting him very hard. William is a hard worker, yes sir, no sir type of young man."
We agree with Coach Jackson's assessment of William Moore. I threw Moore's highlight tape in my VCR and he was a three and out prospect.
Watch three plays, turn it off and offer a scholarship. Moore has legit 4.4 speed, he has very good leaping ability and he'll make the tough catch on any part of the field.
Don't give Moore any time to run with the pigskin, this young man is lightning in a bottle and he has his radar set for the end zone every time he touches the football.
Moore has great lamps (vision) and he's excellent in traffic. This young man has more wiggle than Thanksgiving Jello.
Even though he's committed to Mizzou, I would expect more scholarship offers to come William Moore's way.
Is Moore's commitment to Missouri solid?
"Right now, I'd say my commitment is solid." William Moore said.
"Missouri is close to home and I really like the coaching staff. They are a bunch of great guys. I liked the campus, the facilities and the surroundings."
Moore told us he grew up following Miami, Florida and Florida State. Miami wide receivers coach Curtis Johnson is said to very high on William Moore.
Moore has set every Hayti school record on the football field. Last year on defense he had eight interceptions as a part-time defensive back.
William Moore is quite an athlete and he'll be given All-America consideration in 2003.
William Moore has verbally committed to Missouri. Will his teammate follow him to Columbia…
