Robertson Has Officials Set
Many times players who compete in the private schools may not get the same publicity of their counterparts at the public schools. But that has not stopped Northland Christian wide receiver Kevin Robertson. The Houston area wide receiver led the city in receiving. But it took plenty more than just statistics for the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Robertson to start seeing some movement in the recruiting world. "I think I may have had my best year since I have been in high school. We, as a team were healthy this year and were able to do well this year," Robertson said. And Robertson played a big role in his team's 8-5 finished. He caught 72 passes for nearly 1,500 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also had 80 yards rushing and another four scores. That production has landed him a couple of offers from North Texas and Wyoming. Robertson claims that both have a loot to offer him and both equally are trying to get him on the roster for 2011. But he must see for himself. "I have official visits set for both schools. I go to Wyoming on January 21 and North Texas on January 28," Robertson said. Aside from the programs mentioned, Robertson said that TCU is also giving some looks, but Robertson said "right now it does not seem like I will get an offer from them (TCU coaches)." Which, for now, is okay with Robertson. The schools that have made him an offer are on board and he is ready to see both campuses. "I feel real good about recruiting. The two schools are both good choices and I would be glad going to either one," Robertson said. "I am just going to see both and weigh my options. After I come back from North Texas, I'll make my choice."
