Under Armour Combine: OL/DL Quick Hitters
Offensive Line Caleb Peterson: Peterson was one of the strongest players at the combine. He had the most reps of any prospect on Sunday on the bench press (185x33). He is a technically sound player who has a good initial punch coming off the ball. He worked at left tackle, but he will likely play on the inside on the next level. He needs to continue to improve his footwork. Derek Edinburgh: Edinburgh was really an unknown prospect coming into the combine, but he demonstrated a lot potential. He's like a big teddy bear who doesn't want to hit anyone right now, but once he gets that fire inside something special could take place. He is 6-foot-6, 337-pounds. He has a great build and a very nice frame. Edinburgh could have a bright future ahead of him once he becomes more aggressive. Adam Bisnowaty: Bisnowaty was a very impressive performer during the one-on-ones. He worked at right tackle and did a great job forcing ends to the outside. He plays light on his feet and moves really well for a player his size. He will get stronger and can add more weight during the off-season. He has a lot of upside. Duaron Williams: Williams did not back down from anybody. He loved going up against the best and performed extremely well during the one-on-ones. If he did beat on a play he lined up the next play and dominated. He has good explosion coming off the ball and has a strong lower body. D.J. Reader: Reader is a spark plug. He is aggressive at the point of attack and has a great punch. He has a nice solid base and a lot of power in his legs. He won the majority of his battles throughout the one-on-ones. Defensive Line Dante Fowler: It was unfair for any offensive lineman to go up against Fowler at the combine. He didn't lose a single match and was in the backfield in a hurry. Fowler is very explosive and quick. A few of the players he went against didn't have an opportunity to lay a hand on him because he was off the ball in a flash. Fowler needs to add weight, but that shouldn't be a problem. Nick James: James looks like a man playing among boys. He was physically one of the most impressive players on the field. He is powerful. He tends to go straight up when coming off the ball and tries to overpower the opposing player. He is a solid player who could become a dominant force at the next level. Caleb Gulledge: The Alabama commitment had a very good performance during the one-on-one drills. He has added weight and now up to 280-pounds playing defensive end. He does a great job coming off the ball and aggressive pass rusher. Jordan Jenkins: Jenkins is one of the top overall prospects in the South for 2012. The few times I saw him in one-on-ones he was too quick to defend. He is a very good athlete and clocked a 4.76 40-yard dash at the combine. He is explosive and does a great job using his hands. He needs to get stronger and continue to add weight to his frame. Tyriq McCord: One player who immediately jumps out is McCord. He is an impressive looking athlete at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds. He clocked a 4.5 40-yard dash on the day and was a dominant performer during the one-on-ones. He is quick and shoots through the line. He has the frame to add weight, and could end up as an outside linebacker on the next level.
