SAN ANTONIO — When practices start Monday at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the Longhorns will be well-represented.

Texas has six commitments scheduled to play in the game — all on the West squad — with a seventh, offensive tackle Garrett Greenlea sitting the game out as he rehabilitates his torn ACL.

Three of those players will represent the West on the offensive side of the ball, led by Scout.com's No. 1 running back prospect Malcolm Brown. Brownwood product Jaxon Shipley, rated as the No. 10 wide receiver in the country by Scout.com, will catch passes this week while offensive guard Sedrick Flowers, the No. 5 guard nationally, will pave the way for Brown's rushing yards.

Defensively, the West will feature Quincy Russell at defensive tackle, Scout's No. 13 rated prospect at the position. He'll try his best to keep blocks off a pair of future teammates, linebackers Steve Edmond of Daingerfield and Kendall Thompson from Carthage. Edmond is Scout's No. 2 middle linebacker, with Thompson weighing in at the No. 16 spot.

Texas fans should also be able to find intrigue in some Texas targets, both former — Washington TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins — and current — Louisiana DE Jermauria Rasco.

LonghornDigest.com and Scout.com are in San Antonio for this week's practices and the game, and we'll provide live practice updates, interviews and insight all week.
