Dancel: QB or Safety?

Zachary Dancel was one of the stars of this past week’s Chesapeake Bowl and frankly, had to be the runner-up for the overall Game MVP trophy at quarterback. We just got a copy of his senior highlights and were very surprised with how well the Olney, Md., product looks at the safety position.

Zachary Dancel has always been a player we’ve appreciated at quarterback, but with his 6-foot, 195-pound frame, schools have shied away from him a little bit. He does have offers from New Mexico and Towson to play quarterback, but Illinois recently offered him to play safety and when we watched his senior highlights you can definitely see that he has the instincts and athletic ability to play the position at the FBS level.
