Ringo says yes to Cajuns!

The 6' 1", 265-pound defensive tackle out of Forest Hill ended his recruitment after taking a visit to Louisiana Lafayette.

"I committed this morning during my meeting with their head coach," added Christian Ringo. "It was just a great fit for me. They have a great atmosphere over here, and they think I can step right in and contribute. They have some exciting plans for me."

Ringo had 64 tackles, 9 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries before earning 1st Team All-Metro and 2md Team All-State by the Jackson Clarion Ledger which covers all of the classifications. He also participated in the MS/AL All-Star classic in Mobile.

For now, Christian is just focused on one thing.

"I just want to finish my year off strong academically and get myself prepared in the offseason so I can make an immediate impact. I have found my home now, and I am just ready to give them the best four years I can possibly give them. I feel like a lot of people missed on me, and I am going to play with a chip on my shoulder from here on out and that's the attitude their staff has too. They get overlooked by a lot of people so we all have something to prove."
