Johnson Discusses Arizona Trip

Cortez Johnson

Louisiana cornerback Cortez Johnson talks about his recent official to Arizona and his future plans.

New Orleans (La.) O.Perry Walker cornerback Cortez Johnson took an official visit to Arizona over the weekend and Scout.com spoke with Johnson upon his return home.

"I got there on Friday and Rob Golden was my host," Johnson said. "I checked in and then we went out to eat. After dinner we all went out and I had a lot of fun. We talked a lot about the program and it is a great environment.

"The trip really blew me out the window," continued Johnson. "There is a lot of stuff to do on that campus. The coaches are great. The players are great and the program is great."

Arizona head coach Mike Stoops left a lasting impression on Johnson.

"Coach Stoops is a real good guy," Johnson stated. He will tell you like it is and how it is going to be. There is no Bull with him. The players there really like him. I liked the weather out there also. Coach Stoops is coming to my house on Thursday for an in-home visit.

"I was supposed to visit Pittsburgh this weekend, but I'm going to Southern Miss instead," Johnson continued. "Me and my parents are going to decided if I'll visit Minnesota or Pittsburgh the following weekend. I also have an in-home this week with Coach (Mike) Norvell and head coach (Todd) Graham."
