Phoenix (Az.) Pinnacle DE Neal Walters makes commitment

Both of his parents went there. So when Phoenix (Az.) Pinnacle DE/TE Neal Walters verbally committed today to Drake, it came as no big surprise.

Walters comments, "Drake is one of the top academic schools in the midwest, #3 by US News. I'm going to major in politics and they have a great law school. They put together a great coaching staff and I really bought in to what they are trying to put together."

The 6-3 230 pounder made 36 tackles and 3 sacks in 2010.

"The Pioneer Football League is also close to getting an at-large bid into the FCS playoffs, which is a plus," he says. "Overall, I liked the feel and the vibe I got from the players and coaches."
