Maryland native Adrian Amos has a lot on his mind these days…
Amos Taking Visits
Adrian Amos was set to go to Connecticut for the next stage of his career but then former Head Coach Randy Edsall took the Maryland job and Amos decided that he would need to another look at his future and if Connecticut is still the right place for him. He has talked to the new coach and still considers himself a soft verbal commitment to Connecticut but he will take two other visits before making a final decision. One will be to West Virginia on January 21st and the other to Vanderbilt on January 28th. "Connecticut was my first offer," said Amos. "I was able to talk with Head Coach Paul Pasqualoni and I like him a lot. I like the defensive staff there. I like the campus and the environment. It's a really nice school and the football program is a winner." Amos has already been to West Virginia for camps in the summer. He has not been to Vanderbilt prior but has been to Nashville before and has heard things about Vanderbilt. "I have been to West Virginia before. There are people I know there and everybody loves football. They are the state's NFL team. People show a lot of support for the team. I like the atmosphere there and they win. I am looking forward to my visit this weekend." "Vanderbilt is a great academic school. They play in the SEC which is some of the very best football in the country. I have relatives that live close to Vanderbilt so I know Nashville is a city where there is a lot to do, it is lively and there are other colleges around too. I will find out more next weekend." All three schools are recruiting the talented athlete as a safety. Amos will be deciding between the three schools and it will be to the school that fits him best. He does know what he is looking for though. "I want to be set up for success. I just want an opportunity to succeed on the field and in the classroom. I will work hard to achieve my goals. After my last visit I will just talk it out with my family and decide which school is best for me." Amos says he will make his final decision known on signing day, February 2nd.
