Chestnut Will Wait

Word has spread that Pottsgrove, Pa., native Terrell Chestnut has committed to West Virginia on Sunday and Scout.com spoke to him about it as while the validity of his commitment is not in question, the manner in which it got out is.

Terrell Chestnut, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound safety from Pottsgrove High School in Pottstown, Pa., has reportedly committed to West Virginia just today. For those close to Chestnut and the situation, this is something that has been a fact for over a week, not just hours, but he wants to wait until signing day to talk about it.

"I really wanted to have a press conference with my family with me to announce this as they helped me get there and don't know how this information got out as I didn't want it public," Chestnut said. "I want to wait to announce my decision with my family around me on signing day which is what I'm going to do."

For Mountaineer fans, obviously you can put him in the books, however we certainly respect Chestnut's wishes to announce his decision with his family present which is why Scout.com didn't break this story before. Apparently it hit multiple Twitter pages today and somehow became widespread, then hitting recruiting sites.
