Boyette has Jr. Day Plans
It is evident that the popular social networking site FaceBook has become yet another way for the world to communicate with one another. In fact, even if you don't have a page/profile on this site, news still manages to spread quickly. This being said, I was recently sent a message that appeared on the page of Humble (TX) defensive tackle Paul Boyette. "It's time to let the world know that I will be committing to the University of Texas." Pretty bold statement, but Boyette quickly let us know that this was not the case. "Naw, I just put something on FaceBook. I don't know, everyone has been asking me so I said a college that's it," Boyette said. This post only stayed up for about 35 minutes and then was removed as it seemed like a buzz had began on the internet, about a statement that was not meant to be taken literally. And it is amazing that despite the fact that the author of this feature does not have a page/profile on the popular social networking site the news still found its way to my telephone. Of course, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Boyette has a large number of programs coming after him, including the Longhorns. So far, he holds offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Notre Dame. In the last Scout.com update, Boyette mentioned Texas, along with Tennessee, Oregon and Auburn as programs that have caught his eye early. He has also been invited to a number of junior days. Boyette said that Texas A&M and Oklahoma both had upcoming junior days, but was unsure if he would attend. But he did make this clear. "I will be attending the junior day in Austin. It's on February 13," Boyette said. . He finished with 51 tackles (19 for loss), five sacks and nine knockdowns as a junior.
