Burnett Hopeful things Fall his Way
Cullen Burnett profile "Hinds is telling me that they really want me to go there and Mississippi State is talking to me about an official visit this weekend," said Cullen. "I have talked to Coach Knox everyday since Sunday. He said he got my transcript and that he is going to get back with me about coming up there." As things stand now, Burnett has the chance to join the roster in Starkville, but he is still eager to learn if that roster spot includes a scholarship. "He said they I can take a preferred walk on spot, but there may be a chance I get an offer later," said Cullen. "I like knowing that if I get an offer that I have four years of school paid for. I could really use a scholarship to go somewhere." The talented defender reports that he is open to moving inside or coming off the edge on the defensive front wall. "State says they aren't sure what to do with me yet because I have played everywhere," said Cullen. "They are talking defensive end or three technique." Some smaller programs have talked about an offer with Burnett, but it looks like he has pretty much set on playing in state. "I have had some schools come after me, but I think it's going to be Hinds or Mississippi State," said Cullen.
